The ald and Golden Eagle | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

The eagle is called the "King of Birds" because of its powerful flight and swift movment. 5,000 years agothe Sumerians called it the "Spread Eagle" as their emblem of power. Congress chose the American Bald Eagle in 1782 as the emblem of the United States. In The National Seal the bird is shown with its wings spread, holding an olive branch in one claw and aarows in the other. Coins, military insingna, and other devices, the eagle appears in different postures. In North America there are 2 species of eagles, which are the bald Eagle and the Golden Eagle. Fur Seals | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Fur seals have pointed snouts and are adorible as babies as shown in the picture on the left. The male seal is MUCH bigger than the female in both sea lions and Fur Seals. There are two general areas were the fur seals live and that is Noth or South. The seal that has the most pinnipeds is the Northern Seal. While breeding season is in action, the main population lives on Pribilof Island of Alaska. October is the time most seals leave the island and by December they are gone. Some travel alone some travel is small groups but they all get to their destination. They will travel southward towards San Francisco some will even end up there. Wolf | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
The wolf is belived to be an ancestor of the domestic dog, it is an intelligent and courageous hunter. The animal in not a very fast runner but can run and will run throught the night if needed to. The dog The dog family consists of the Wolf, Jakal, coyote, and the Canidae. There are only three species of wolves alive today which are the gray wolf, the timber wolf, and the Red wolf.
